Using Warden

Overview

The first page you see: what needs you, what Swarm has done, and where your designs stand.

Overview is the page you land on. It answers three questions in order: does anything need me, what has Swarm been doing, and where do my designs stand.

What needs you

The page opens by greeting your organization and saying, in one line, either that nothing needs your attention or how many listings do. Under it is Swarm's own sentence about its last check, the same sentence Coverage opens with.

While a check is running, or just after one you watched finish, the band at the top opens. During the check it shows a meter of the searches done and the listing pictures compared. Once the check ends it shows what the check came to: the searches it made, the listings it read, how many named one of your designs, how many were new, and how many it put to you.

Where listings are waiting on you, up to four of them sit as cards at the foot of the page, under Needs you: the listing's photograph, its title, the seller, and the design it names. Each opens its investigation. The rest are a link away in Review.

Swarm scans

The last fourteen days of Swarm's work, in UTC. Four figures sum the window: checks run, searches made, listings read, and listings put to you for review.

Under them, one bar a day of the listings read that day. Point at a day for the rest of its figures, including checks that could not finish. Those are drawn in a neutral tone and never in red, because an engine that could not finish is Warden's trouble and not yours. The same figures are there as a table for anyone who would rather read numbers.

An admin sees this chart and the Swarm log beside it. A member gets the page without them.

The Swarm log

Beside the chart, under Swarm logs, one line per step Swarm reported during its last check, with the time each happened. While a check runs, the log is live. Its lines name the kind of place being searched rather than the marketplace. The header above them names the place and when the check began. The technical record behind it is at the foot of Coverage.

Where your assets stand

Four figures for now rather than for the window:

FigureCounts
Need your attentionListings Warden asked a person about that nobody has decided
ObservedListings recorded with nothing to act on
SettledListings settled, split into those Warden settled with a recorded reason and those you decided
Your libraryThe designs Warden searches for

Under Your library, a line says when Warden began recording these counts.

Before the first check

Until your first check has run, the page shows how many of the four setup steps are done and a Continue setting up link. The last step is the first check itself. You start it with Start warden on Setup, once Warden has your designs, has worked out what it recognizes in them, and has somewhere to look. When that check has finished, the section goes away and the check fills the rest of the page.

Coming soon

A trend beside each figure, once Warden has recorded enough days to draw one honestly.
