Coverage answers one question: where is Warden actually looking, and where is it not. The page is built so the second half is as legible as the first, because a place Warden cannot reach is a gap in Warden and never a clean bill of health for that place.
It opens with one sentence about the last time Swarm ran, and that sentence only ever says what a stored record can support:
| It says | When |
|---|---|
| Swarm is checking N designs | A pass is open now, with the date it began |
| Swarm checked N designs | The last pass finished, with its date |
| Swarm could not finish its last check | It ended badly, and what you are reading is from the pass before it |
| Swarm has not checked yet | Nothing has run yet |
| Swarm has nothing to check | Your library is empty |
| Swarm has nowhere to look | No place is set up yet |
Where searches failed inside a pass that otherwise finished, the sentence says how many, and that the pass may have missed listings. It does not ask you to do anything. Warden owns that.
Where Swarm looks
A grid of places, one card each, with a line of state and a word.
| Word | Means |
|---|---|
| Swarm looks here | This place is checked for your designs |
| Not yet | Swarm cannot look here yet. Warden owns this, and there is nothing for you to do |
| Off | Swarm does not look here |
| Planned | Swarm does not look here yet. Nothing is connected behind it |
The places are public marketplaces where work like yours is sold. Which ones Warden reads, and which it reads best, is not listed here on purpose: a seller who knew which marketplace Warden covers least well would move there. The grid in your own account names them, because it is your account and the answer is yours.
A live place's card says when it was last checked and how often Swarm checks it, and, once your organization's checks are scheduled, when the next one is due. A place your plan does not include says Not on this plan instead.
Nothing on this page starts a check. The product offers only two ways to ask for one: the first check, with Start warden at the end of setup, and a look at one listing, with Initiate Swarm in Review. Swarm scans says why.
A planned place has no connection, no state and no runs, and the grid says so in words rather than implying a capability that does not exist. Some of them are planned because the place refuses any client that is not a person's browser, and Warden will not pretend to be one or sign in as somebody else to get past that.
Your members' own storefronts are a place too. They are switched on from Commercial, on the Creator and Studio plans, and their card links there.
The places you sell from yourself, the channels you watch and the apps you connect are set in Organization, not here.
The last pass, step by step
Under the places, the most recent pass is laid out as the steps it took, beside the events it stored while it ran. It is the same record Overview replays as the Swarm log.
The engine record
Closed by default, at the foot of the page: the feed of the latest check, live while one is going, and the technical record of every check. It is a read, it is there on every plan, and it stays shut until you open it.
Absence is not written casually
Only a complete enumeration may record absence. A place Warden cannot page through completely never earns the sentence "not listed", and a new kind of place has to declare whether it can be enumerated before anything absent may be recorded about it.
Storefront monitoring is the clearest case. It records how much of each site it managed to read, and even a complete read writes no absence of any kind, because a site's own list of its products routinely leaves some out. Complete there means complete as far as the site's own claim goes, which is not an enumeration Warden checked.
Coming soon
Paused and narrowed states for a place. Nothing records either yet, so this page draws neither.
The per-site detail of storefront monitoring, which is recorded and not shown.
